The ranking recognizes financial advisors younger than 40 with at least four years of experience. 

11:00 a.m. on September 10 at Yoder Recital Hall

Chalsi Campbell ’12, campus pastor; Carrie Mast ’95, associate pastor of First Mennonite Church; and Matthew Nardo, head football coach, will share “Faith and Memory in Challenging Times” during Bluffton University’s Forum at 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 10 in Yoder Recital Hall. 

The discussion will introduce Bluffton’s 2024-25 Civic Engagement theme. 

FINDLAY —The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation Board of Trustees approved grants totaling $418,020 at the August board meeting. This total includes 23 responsive grants and 45 donor-advised fund grants. 

The following meetings have been scheduled by the Village of Bluffton. These meetings will be at the Bluffton Town Hall unless noted.

Ordinance Committee on Wednesday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m.

Pedestrian Pathway Board on Thursday, September 5 at noon.

Council Meeting on Monday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m.

BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton High School volleyball team defeated visiting Defiance Ayersville in straight sets during a non-league match Thursday evening.

The Pirates swept Ayersville 25-13, 25-16, 25-21.

The convincing home win improved the Pirate record to 6-1 this season. The Pilots drop to 4-2 after the loss.

Kendall Stackhouse paced the Bluffton hitters with 11 kills. 

Ayla Grandey and Libby Hocanson each knocked down nine kills. Hocanson added a block.

BLUFFTON __The Bluffton High School girls tennis team lost 5-0 to visiting Wapakoneta Wednesday evening.

Wapakoneta improved to 4-3 with the win.

Pirate Rory Youngpeter lost at first singles to Redskin Liberty Jolly in a very tight three-set battle 7-5, 5-7, 7-6.

Bluffton’s Brooklyn Moser fell at second singles to Wapak’s Kate Eley 6-1, 6-1.

At third singles, Hannah Nieman was defeated by Redskin Brooklyn Mowery 6-2, 6-0.
