Did you know Bluffton Public Library has a mini Seed and Garden Catalog Swap going on now?

It's simple: Bring some seed packets you don't need this year, and perhaps pick up a few from the basket. Same goes for current Garden Catalogs. The library recommends marking or cutting out any personal info before adding it to the basket.

There are also some plant starts from the generous library plants growing nearby. Keep an eye our for a possible plant swap this summer.

The moon was a dramatic red shade because of a total lunar eclipse, when the it was completely in the darkest park of the earth's shadow. Bluffton's Denny Morrison reported that his best view was at about 2:30 a.m. through the moon roof of his truck.

Earlier this year Bluffton Family YMCA, 215 Snider Rd., named their gymnasium in honor of the late Dr. Terry Chappell who worked with others to help found Bluffton’s recreation center (formerly Bluffton Family Recreation) and who also spent decades promoting exercise and healthy living through his Bluffton medical practice.

Dr. Chappell has a deep connection to basketball in general and the Bluffton YMCA gymnasium in particular.
