Pirates will host Huron in round 2 on November 8

BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton High School football team began its post-season with a methodical 21-6 win over visiting Paulding in the first round of Div. VI, Region 22 play at Harmon Field on Friday, November 1.

Daylight Savings ends in the wee hours this Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3. Whether you change your clocks before you go to bed on Saturday or when you get up on Sunday, you’ll need to move them back one hour. The change officially takes place at 2:00 a.m. EST.

The holiday months (mid-November to post-January) can be extremely difficult for loved ones suffering from mental illness. It’s postulated that family members and friends can reach intolerable levels of anxiety and depression during this time due to accentuated family dynamics, financial strain, and other stressors.  

Rumpke Waste & Recycling has added a new acceptable item for recycling—clamshell plastic containers starting November 1, 2024.

Residents can now add clamshells to their recycling carts. This will include clear plastic carry-out containers; fruit, berry and lettuce containers and egg containers. For information on current guidelines, visit Rumpke HERE.

The Bluffton Area Chamber had 26 entries in the 2024 Scarecrow Decorating Contest. After 850+ votes, the winners are:

  • 1st: Samuel W. Diller, Law Offices with 628 votes
  • 2nd: Et Cetera Shop, with 165 votes
  • 3rd: GROB, with 137 votes
