Rhonda Wolpert, administrator of Mennonite Memorial Home, tells about the Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio Green Houses. On May 17, MHCO gave a "get the scoop" tour to volunteers and donors of the project, underway on Augsburger Road. It was the first tour of the Green Houses, which will be completed at the end of the summer.

Bluffton Public Library has an exciting series of relaxing programs planned for June. The "Relax, Recharge, Rejuvenate" program series will feature three opportunities to escape the daily routine, enjoy an evening out and learn about ways to relax.

Bluffton schools - one of 17 in Ohio.

A new proposed rating system for Ohio school districts will make it much more difficult for districts to obtain the top rating of an "A," according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent.

Writing in the spring Bluffton Exempted Village Schools newsletter, Denecker, writes that last year 352 fo the 609 school districts in Ohio obtained either an "Excellent" or "Excellent with Disctinction" designation.

Stratton Greenhouses have opened a downtown Bluffton location for their flowers according to Steve and Susie Stratton.

The location is in at the corner of Triplett Drive and East College Avenue next to Ideal Images.

Ashland, here I come

Looks like Jenna Buroker is headed to Ashland University. Jenna and other members of the BHS class of 2012 painted their names and in many cases stated their college plans during the May 15 offical street painting. Click for a video.
