Bluffton Lions Club members count people using every Bluffton pathway and are looking for additional volunteers for the month of May 2025--to help count additional pathway miles. The job has expanded with the new Lions Way sections on County Line Rd. and State Route 103.

Volunteers take 2-hour shifts to provide results for Regional Planning. The counters display signs which say Lions Pathway Count. Hours are 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.

BLUFFTON – The Bluffton High School tennis team nipped visiting WBL rival Ottawa-Glandorf 3-2 on Wednesday, April 30.

The Pirates improved to 10-3 with the victory, while the Titans fell to 8-2 after the loss.

Bluffton captured all three singles matches in straight sets to earn the team victory.

Pirate senior Branson Hilty won handily at first singles 6-2, 6-3.  

Bluffton senior Jack Brauen also won easily at second singles 6-1, 6-2.

Pirate left-hander Nick Lovett triumphed 6-1, 6-2 at third singles.

Bluffton EMS Chief Noah Babcock notified council on Monday that the Village Emergency Medical Services will transition to 24/7 in-station staffing on Thursday, May 1.

In November 2024 Bluffton voters approved a municipal income tax for the purpose of funding safety services, including the creation of a full-time EMS staff and full-time EMS chief.

An 8-week Stanford University study was the basis for a Netflix documentary series released on January 1, 2024.  The documentary series is titled You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment. The study paired 22 identical twins and gave them opposing diets for an 8-week period.

A morning hike in late April 2025 through Bluffton’s Motter Park is accompanied by a Hallelujah Chorus of birdsong. And while I’m tempted to catch one or two feathered friends on camera, I’m there in search of an easier subject: a new overlook deck at the cascading pools feature created at the southern reaches of the park.
