February 14 marked the official launch of Bluffton College Foundation, a newly established 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to supporting the long-term success and development of Bluffton University.
"We are thrilled to announce the creation of Bluffton College Foundation, led by Edward Diller, 1969 alumnus and previous 20-year Bluffton board member, with 10 years as Chairman," said Cheryl Hacker, chairperson of the Bluffton University Board of Trustees. “We envision Bluffton College Foundation becoming a cornerstone of our institution’s future, and with Ed at the helm, we are confident this charitable organization will ensure the Bluffton campus remains vibrant and engaging.”
Crime Victim Service’s CASA program will be at WarHawk Tattoo in Lima on March 23 to chat with patrons about the programs and how they can become volunteers.
Visitors will choose a tattoo from dozens of options, and will get to talk with CASA supervisors about the challenges facing abused and neglected children in Allen and Putnam Counties. Participants must register in advance, and slots are expected to fill up quickly.

Two of the greatest Pirate basketball games I ever witnessed occurred in the year 1954-1955. Coach Joe Harris has passed, so I asked two of the starters on that team to share their memories of the games and the players involved. They are Ron Lora and Jim (Spike) Berry. Ron was the leading scorer on the team that year and Spike was the point guard and floor leader.
