Dorothy Schutz 1927-2010
Dorothy Mae Schutz, 82, of Pandora, Ohio, died Feb. 16, 2010, at 12:40 a.m. at her residence.
She was born Dec. 20, 1927, in Benton Ridge to Dwight and Rozella Frech Knepper. On March 27, 1948, she married Paul S. Schutz and he survives.
She worked at Suter's Produce, Pandora. She retired from The Findlay Courier, had worked at First National Bank, Pandora, and helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church. As a golfer, she had two holes in one. She was a graduate of Liberty Benton High School.
Survivors include her husband, Margaret (Bill) Wells, Ottawa; daughter, Paulette (Bud) Smith, Pandora; sister, Doris (Roger) Saums, Findlay; granddaughter, Cricket Smith, Celina; step-grandson, Dave Smith, Estes Park, Colo.; step-granddaughter, Gretchen Kiefer, New Knoxville; step-grandson, Craig Smith, Pocahontas, Ill.; step-granddaughter, Shelley Smith, Portland, Ore.; step-grandson, Matthew Smith, Solmon, Md.; sister, Loretta Reese, Hernanado, Fla.
Preceeding her in death were brothers, Charles, Gerald and Dean Knepper and sisters, Mary Kerry and Olive Chapman, and step-grandson, Todd Smith.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 19, at Pandora United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Hollinger will officiate.
Visitation is Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. In lieu of flowers memorials may go to Bridge Home Health and Hospice or Pandora United Methodist Church.
