Big PTO Bakery Bingo comeback

By Paula Scott

The lure of bingo, homemade sweet treats, taking a night off from dinner as usual–oh, and supporting the local schools–packed the Bluffton Middle School cafetorium on January 21. Bluffton PTO Bakery Bingo returned after a several year hiatus to the delight of participants of all ages.

The event was updated with a large screen displaying the letter-number combinations called by Elementary Principal Ben Thiel, who also provided a sports score or two.

Tables and stomachs were filled with popcorn, pizza, hot dogs and other treats, as well as with bingo cards. One father was heard reminding his family, “I can’t do all eleven cards all by myself!”

She touched both staff and residents at Erwin, where she was known as “Miss Sunshine.” God used her to be a blessing to so many!
