Senior Center celebrates Older American Month
May is a busy month for the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, as it celebrates Older Americans Month. Here are some of the activites planned:
May 1 - American Girl tea, 2-4 p.m.
May 5 - Blood pressure clinic, 10 a.m. - noon
May 6 - Life Line screening, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
May 10 - Monthly dinner meeting, catered by Pandora Lifters, 6 p.m.
May 13 - Bus trip to Creation Museum, departs 7:30 a.m.
May 27 - Mystery trip, departs 6:30 a.m.
Other activities:
Phyllis Ehrman and Doris Rockhill will receive their life memberships upon achieving their 90th birthdays.
Mary Ann Jordan and her granddaughters will display their American Girl dolls and clothes in the hobby center in May.
On May 12, the Center will celebrate Older Americans Month with a free lunch and special Bingo sponsored by Richland Manor. Reservations for the lunch are required by May 7.
Looking ahead to June, the Center will hold a craft supply sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, June 4, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 5.
