Community services topic of info seminar June 24 at Mennonite Memorial Home
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio will hold an informational seminar aimed at for improving and enriching persons lives. The event, titled "Embracing aging with knowledge," is at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 24, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
The seminars are free and open to the public. This topic of the June 24 seminar is community services. Four persons will give presentations.
- Carole Enneking, director of BFR
- Tonya Meyer, director of Bluffton Senior Citizens Center
- Kathy Rode, director of Mennonite Home Health
- Sherri Carmack, dietary manager for Mennonite Memorial Home
Enneking will talk about the Silver Sneakers program. It offers exercise opportunities at Bluffton Family Recreation to persons receiving health insurance benefits through certain plans.
Meyer will talk about opportunities and programs offered by the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center.
Rode will talk about benefits of in-home health care and the variety of services that are available.
Carmack will talk about the Meals-On-Wheels program. It offers meals to seniors living in and around the Bluffton area. It accommodates special diets including diabetic, low salt and low fat.
