Saturday benefit assists Bluffton man needing kidney transplant

Jim Ream

A benefit to assist with medical expenses involving a kidney transplant for Bluffton resident Jim Ream is planned from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 19, in the Bluffton middle school.

Ream of 212 S. Main St., lost his first kidney when he was 26. He is currently on dialysis three days a week. He has passed all testing required to have a transplant and has a possible donor.

The fundraiser is planned to help offset the costs of having the transplant completed and for any future expenses that might occur.

The persons planning the benefit welcome any personal donations. The event will include food, a raffle, Bingo, an auction and a 50-50 drawing.

Ream and his wife, Linda, have two children, four grandchildren and one great-grandaughter.

Any cash donations may be made at First National Bank, where an account has been set up in the name of James Ream. Persons with additional questions may call 419-358-0999.
