Aug. 5-6-7 is Friends of Library "garage sale weekend"
More than 20 families are opening their garages and offering items for sale during the second Bluffton community garage sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5, 6 and 7. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library.
Sale hours are Thursday and Friday, Aug. 5 and 6 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 7 from 8 a.m. until the seller wishes to close. Shoppers will be able to identify participants by the blue and white sign in the yard.
Bargain hunters will find gently-used school clothes, furniture for dorm rooms and apartments, kitchen utensils and cookware, books, canning jars and antiques.
Among the list of items in this year's sale includes twin mattresses, Tiffany lamps, a freezer, a washer, a trampoline, baby strollers, bikes, handmade rugs, Longaberger baskets, Christmas items and an assortment of games and toys.
Maps and lists of sellers will be available at the library and at the Bluffton Dari Freeze beginning Monday, Aug. 2. Sellers will also have a limited supply of the lists and maps to hand out to interested buyers during sale days.
