Lucille A. Bracy 1926-2010

Lucille A. Bracy, 83, of Bluffton, died at 12:30 p.m., Aug. 2, 2010, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Sept. 14, 1936, to Carl and Hulda (Reddick) Wilch in Jenera. On Nov. 19, 1955, she married John Bracy and he died Feb. 7, 2004.

Mrs. Bracy had been a nanny, and had worked in the Bluffton school cafeteria. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. She was a Sunday school teacher at Trinity. She was a 1944 graduate of Rawson High School.

Survivors include: son, Dave (Cheri) Bracy, Bluffton; son, Timothy Bracy, Findlay; daughter, Susan (Fred) Wiess, Findlay; daughter, Linda (Randy) Strahm, Bluffton and grandchildren Benjamin and Jessica Bracy, Kristie (Chris) Ford, Angela (Charlie) Jolliff, Adam, Joshua and Jason Bracy, Danielle and Melissa Wiess and Kyle and Korey Strahm.

Five great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a sister Lauretta Weihrauch and half-brothers Luther and Richard Wilch.

A funeral service is at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. Officiating clergy are Rev. Alois Schmitzer III and Rev. Jeffery Bolwerk.

Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton and one hour prior to the service at the chruch.

Burial is in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Jenera. Memorials may go to the Trinity Lutheran School basketball floor fund.
