Summer is a great time to explore the art spread across the Bluffton community – especially for viewers unable to visit art galleries elsewhere in Ohio.
As a weekly series, The Icon will feature the art created by John Peter Klassen (1888-1975), a long-time Bluffton College art professor, and art by other artists in the community.
For some viewers, this series is familiar. For others, it may be a first-time experience.

What criteria would allow society to return to not having social distancing, mask wearing and enhanced disinfecting practices in place?

Ross Kauffman, assistant professor and director of public health at ONU, answers: What criteria would allow society to return to not having social distancing, mask wearing and enhanced disinfecting practices in place?
Bluffton Planning Commission will meet Monday, Aug. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the town hall at 154 N. Main St., according to Jesse Blackburn, village administrator.
In a second test administered today in Columbus, Governor Mike DeWine has tested negative for COVID-19. First Lady Fran DeWine and staff members have also all tested negative for COVID-19.
A PCR test was administered to the Governor and members of his staff this afternoon. The PCR test looks for the specific RNA for the SARS CoV-2 -- in other words, the genetic material specific for the virus that causes COVID-19.
Bluffton schools announced its 2020-21 program year policy for free and reduced price meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
