School board accepts donations for Dan Rumer memorial
The Bluffton school board accepted two monetary donations during its Oct. 18 meeting. Donations were from Students for Other Students (SOS), tutoring program, for $5,000. Also, a donation was accepted for a Dan Rumer Memorial of softball bleachers for $4,757.
The Bluffton school board reviewed the employment of personnel and conducted its yearly evaluation and employment of the school treasurer and superintendent during its Oct. 18 meeting.
In other business, the board accepted the resignation of Travis Kleman, assistant wrestling coach, effective immediately.
Seven persons were issued substitute teacher contracts at $72 per day. Those persons are Seth Zink, Francie Carmain, Christy Garmatter, Melanie Green, Jennifer High, Carl Wieging and Joyce Klein.
Two students teachers were assigned from March 7 to May 20, 2011. Both are Ohio Northern University students. Sarah Voll will teach with David Sycks. Timothy Smith will teach with Kara Gratz.
Sandra Erickson was issued a substitute educational aide contact at $9.13 per hour.
The following supplemental contracts were issued.
