Bluffton joins international Porch Fest movement on August 31

NOTE: The Vine St. stages will be open later than neighborhood locations. If any players want to join there, it will be open to audience participation.

Porch Fest is coming to Bluffton on Saturday, August 31. This community-wide music festival held on porches throughout the Bluffton community will feature 15 different performers/groups playing at 12 different locations.

Beaverdam area road closures on August 29

Munroe Township Road closures on August 29 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for asphalt paving:

  • Hook-Waltz Road between the railroad and Stewart Road
  • Ramsey Road between Hook-Waltz and Hillville roads

Grismore Rd closure on Agust 27

Grismore Rd. will be closed between SR 696 and Pandora Road on Tuesday, August 27 from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for asphalt paving. Emergency vehicles will have access.

It's time to register for the Bluffton Public Library Fall Storytime, which takes place on Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings.

Excessive Heat Watch issued for August 27

An Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio on August 27

The weather event onset is forecast for 11:00 AM (EDT) with dangerously hot conditions with heat index values around or greater than 105.

These conditions are expected from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

Bentley Rd closure on August 26

BENTLEY ROAD __ Between Lincoln Highway and Huber Road will be closed Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. for paving, with no through traffic.

Emergency Vehicles will have access during this closure.
