Remi Bower (Deshler) Bluffton University, was named Heartland defensive athlete of the week for volleyball. She put the Beavers on her back, leading Bluffton to the HCAC Tournament with 45 kills (5.0 KPS) as the Beavers went 3-0 and 2-0 in conference play. She also showed her versatility with 27 digs (3.0 DPS), three blocks and seven service aces. Bower's 53.5 points were more than two times the next highest teammate.

Bluffton and Ada Icons offered separate winter photo contests to viewers. Here's the Ada Icon winning photo. It was taken by Meghan Yoakum. She said the photo was taken outside her family home south of Ada on State Route 235. Watch the Icon all week for more entries in the contest.

Here's a certain sign that spring is on the way.
The Bluffton farmers market vendor meeting is set for 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 23, according to Greg Probst, market manager.
The meeting will be via video and phone. Guidelines for the market will be reviewed and registration will begin. Vendors may participate with audio using a standard phone, or with video by computer, tablet, or smart phone.
As in past years, the market will open on the first Saturday in May in the Citizens National Bank parking lot.
BCE hosts Zoom session with Fred Steiner on Thursday

Bluffton author Fred Steiner will lead a discussion on “Making It a Book” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in an online program hosted by the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE).
Steiner will walk through the process of self publishing from manuscript to printed copies. After a 30-minute interview is recorded for YouTube, Steiner will take questions from online guests.
