BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls basketball team was seeded eighth out of 14 teams at the Van Wert district/Div. IV super sectional drawing held recently.
The Lady Pirate cagers (11-9) will visit local rival Cory-Rawson (13-6) in the first round Wednesday, February 17 at 7 p.m. The seventh-seeded Lady Hornets knocked off the Pirate girls 39-29 at Bluffton back in the season opener.

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton varsity wrestling team hosted the annual Northwest Conference title meet Friday. The Pirates finished a solid fourth out of eight teams as three Bluffton grapplers secured individual championships.
Allen East narrowly won its fifth straight league title with 264.5 points, edging second-place Columbus Grove by a mere half point.
Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirates with a season-high 20 points

MILLER CITY - Visiting Bluffton fell behind by 19 at halftime and lost 62-51 to non-conference foe Miller City in a girls basketball game Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates trailed 14-7 after the first period of play. MC then blew the game open with a 24-point second quarter to build a 38-19 advantage at intermission.
The Pirate girls outscored the Lady Wildcats 16-12 in each of the last two stanzas, but could not overcome the big halftime deficit.
