Lorie Amstutz 1959 - 2021

Lorie Lynn Amstutz, 61, of Findlay, died at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Hospice of Central Ohio, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Lorie was born on July 4, 1959, in Findlay, Ohio, to Larry E. and Sharon A. (Shank) Thompson. Larry survives, and her mother, Sharon, preceded her in death.

Bluffton native Joe Goodman illustrates "Master Trappers"

Described as the most comprehensive trapping book written in the last 50 years

“Running a trapline for muskrats with my dad during my early school years earned many fond memories that will stay with me forever,” says Joe Goodman.

The Bluffton native, recently combined those skill with his artistic ability. He has illustrated a book  “Master Trappers,” recently released by Tom Miranda Outdoor Incorporated of Englewood, Florida.

It is described as the most comprehensive trapping book written in the last 50 years.

The full-color, 8 ½ by 11-inch book contains 400 pages with dozens of color illustrations by Goodman.

As we move into the early months of spring 2021, things look quite different than they had a year ago. 

The masking and social distancing has stuck around (and rightfully so), but we are moving forward with the goal of regaining that sense of normalcy that may mean something different for each one of us.
