Seth Combs named assistant VP at Citizens National Bank

Seth Combs has recently been promoted to assistant vice president treasury management analyst at Citizens National Bank.

In this position, he is responsible for analyzing current and potential accounts for cash management improvements and recommending electronic bank products to increase efficiency for business customers.

Combs is a graduate of Goshen College with a degree in Business Administration.

Prior to working at CNB he helped manage a family business in upstate New York.

Two options for one-week piano camps offered by Krysti's Music Studio

Krysti’s Music Studio, 334 S. Main St., Bluffton, offers two separate music piano camps in July and August, according to Krysti Schey.

Camps are at the music studio. The first is from Monday to Thursday, July 25-28. The second is from Monday to Thursday, Aug. 1-4.

Morning and afternoon camp options are available both weeks. Separate camps are for youth ages 5 to 9 and ages 10 to 14.

“No prior music experience is needed,” said Schey. To register or for more details call Schey at 419-233-5255.

Janice Fridley was a 1953 Bluffton High School graduate

Janice L. Fridley, 81, died July 7, 2016, at 7:02 a.m., at the Elmcroft Nursing Home in Lima. Janice was born Dec. 7, 1934 in Bluffton, to Harley and Alma (Agin) Diller who preceded her in death. On June 5, 1953, she married Billy D. Fridley who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2012.

Summer strings

Grace Paquin focuses on the music during the summer strings program, which ended this week. Rachael Lewis, strings teacher, offered a weekly rehearsal for all students in strings, as she has for several summers.

You've always wanted to play shuffleboard - here's your chance

You've watched the shuffleboard matches at the Buckeye Park courts. Here's your invitation to learn the game.

On Saturday, July 9, at 1 p.m at Buckeye Park, the Bluffton Shuffleboard Club will host clinics for anyone interested in learning how to play shuffleboard.  

Clinic instructors are Steve Slaughterbeck and Jim Zink. Some of the topics to be covered include basic strategy, court preparation, shooting form and game rules.

The club encourages everyone to come and join in the fun.

Richard Ruebush was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber

Richard "Bud" Lee Ruebush, 85, died July 6, 2016, at 9:56 p.m., at the Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. Richard was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Hancock County, Ohio, to Walter A. and Nellie C. (Shafer) Ruebush who preceded him in death. Richard married Doris "Jean" Dunlap Ruebush who survives in Bluffton.
