Here's my Bigfoot video, well, sort of
Every photographer in the world has one pseudo-Bigfoot video. Or hopes to. You will soon view mine. I'm talking about the classic Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film.
No matter how prepared you are to photograph on film a UFO, Bigfoot, or a big cat roaming freely across a wheat field when it actually belongs in the Rocky Mountains, you'll never photograph it perfectly.
Your film will be blurry, shaky, out of focus and way too short.
So, imagine you are zipping into Bluffton on Columbus Grove Road about 2:15 p.m. in the afternoon and three deer jump out of the corn field about 30 feet in front of you.
One is Mom, one is Bambi and one is Bambi's brother. You screech on the brakes, grab the camera on the seat beside you and fire away.
Then, if you have a Nikon D90 - I just happen to have one - you quickly switch to video mode and film the critters...out of focus, blurry, shakey and way too short.
Check out my video. Wait until the very end when Bambi and Brother slip into the woods. You'll see Mom giving me a dirty look as she strolls into the woods....just like Bigfoot.
Some photos of the pursuit are at the bottom this story.
