Cross Country runs well at All-Ohio Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Despite a dire forecast of nearly certain rain, thunderstorms and high winds, the weather semi-cooperated on Friday, Oct. 3, at the All-Ohio Championship hosted by Cedarville University. Battling stiff winds throughout the afternoon, the Bluffton University cross country teams raced well in this important meet which brings together virtually all of the state’s colleges for an across-the-board NCAA-NAIA-JUCO, throw-them-all-together 600+ competitor battle. Needless to say, it is an intense and ultra-competitive meet.

Council may declare East Elm Street property a nuisance

Bluffton council will act on Monday whether to declare a Bluffton property as a nuisance.

The property is at 128 E. Elm St., located at the corner of Elm and Vance. It is an abandoned car wash. Documentation of the planned legislation is part of the council packet, which is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

In other council action, Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, reports that Diller Flooring completed the installation of the new flooring on the town hall third floor on Oct. 3. The new flooring was required due to the town hall water main break this spring.
