Terrill Webb nets fourth goal of season in 1-1 tie at AU

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University women’s soccer team used a late first half goal to lead them to a 1-1 tie against the Anderson University Ravens on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The Beavers moved to 3-7-1 overall and 0-1-1 in HCAC play, while the home team stands 6-4-1 and 1-0-1 in the conference.

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Bluffton University men’s soccer team battled until the end with one of the best teams in the Heartland Conference before a late goal propelled the Anderson University Ravens to a 1-0 victory. The loss is the first HCAC loss for the Beavers, putting them at 1-1 in the conference and 4-8 overall. The Ravens jumped to 2-0 in the HCAC and 8-4 overall.

Death penalty forum at First Mennonite Oct. 14

Ohioans to Stop Executions (OTSE) brings their “Voices of Experience” forum to Bluffton to discuss the reform recommendations issued by the Ohio Supreme Court’s Joint Task Force to Review the Administration of Ohio’s Death Penalty.

The Bluffton forum will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, at First Mennonite Church of Bluffton.

Bluffton Community Pre-School students met members of the Bluffton Volunteer Fire Department earlier this week. The Fire Prevention Week program enabled students to learn about the jobs of the fire fighters. Catherine Nye (in outfit) shows how a fire fighter enters a room on fire when looking for a trapped person. Also assisting in the presentation were John Bowers, Jon Kinn and Eric Rayle.
