Leland Gerber took this photo of a groundbreaking of an expansion at the Triplett Electrical Instrument Co., in the late 1950s. In the back row from left, are representatives of the Bluffton Business Men's Association, Gene Benroth, Leland Diller, Charles Aukerman and Clayton Bixel.

In front, from left, with shovel is Morris Triplett, R.L. Triplett (center) and Ropp Triplett, right.

Notice in the background is the old Bluffton water tower and the smokestack of the Bluffton power plant. We can't make out the model of the station wagon in the parking lot. Any guesses?

The newly released book "A Good Place To Miss," offeres an interesting chapter on Triplett including a list of dozens and dozens of employees. Click here for the chapter.
