Over 50 baskets in public library's holiday gift silent auction
The Bluffton Public Library is featuring more than 50 gift baskets in its Holiday Gift Silent Auction. Bidding begins Nov. 4 during the library's Murder in the Stacks event and will continue until an item is purchased at the "buy it now" price (indicated on select bid sheets) or when the silent auction ends at 2 p.m. on Nov. 19.
A wide variety of gift themes are available for all ages and a variety of interests. Featured themes include: House & Home with a handmade quilt, Jane Austen Enthusiast, Wine Lovers, Snowed In, Pamper Yourself, Game Night, Batter Up!, Coffee & Tea Lovers, Detroit Tigers Fan, Groovy Girls, Willow Christmas Story Nativity, Silver & Gold, Best Friends, Fido's Favorites, Amish Get Away, Girls' Day Out, Downtown Findlay, Ultimate Chocolate Lovers (featuring the world's largest Hershey bar), numerous youth packages and much more!
More than 50 organizations, businesses and passionate patrons have made generous donations for this fundraiser. Proceeds will help to support the library's essential early literacy and lifelong learning services.
Successful bidders (excluding those who take advantage of the "buy now" price) will be notified the week of Nov. 21. Cash, check or money order will be accepted for payment and items must be claimed by 5 p.m. on Dec. 9.
"With the holidays right around the corner, our Holiday Gift Silent Auction is a perfect opportunity for early holiday shoppers to find a gift for themselves or that special someone. Successful bidders also receive a priceless holiday bonus plus the pleasure of knowing that proceeds from their shopping will be a gift to the library that keeps on giving within the community," said director Cindi Chasse.
