Elvina Wilkins 1935-2011
Elvina Mae Wilkins, 76, died at 6 p.m. Dec. 25, 2011 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay from complications of a fall in her home. She was born Nov. 5, 1935 in Bluffton to Waldo and Blanche (Criblez) Wilkins.
Elvina lived her entire life in Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bluffton. During her working years Elvina was employed by the Boss Glove Factory, Bluffton until the company closed and then worked for 25 years at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.
Surviving are three sisters Marlene (Marvin) Jones of Liberty Center, Louise (Paul) Welty of Muncie, Indiana and Martha (Robert) Safford of Martinsburg, West Virginia; a brother Sherman (Mildred) Wilkins of Bluffton; six nieces and nephews John Jones, David Welty, Bonita (Welty) Byman, Dianne (Jones) Landrum, Erica (Safford) Asbury and Aaron Safford; and 12 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Merlin who died at birth.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Rev. John Foster officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. A fellowship meal will be held following the service at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bluffton.
The family suggest memorials be made to the church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
