Music in the Alley

Come and enjoy the sights and sounds in the alley located at Roots by Stratton's on August 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Phil Schey of Kristi's Music Studio will be performing on the piano a selection of soft jazz and gentle pop.

Stop by the Twisted Whisk, grab a taco from Campito Lindo or a snack at Shirley's popcorn before you come. Please bring lawn chairs. After the music stop by Luke's for a burger or Greenhorn for a wine tasting event.

Naomi Basinger, 102, passed away August 1, 2021 at the Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Midwifery

Although midwives have been around for hundreds of years, the term midwife is one that not many are able to clearly define. There is often confusion surrounding the many types of midwives and the span of roles a midwife might play. Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) are highly trained providers who first were educated and trained as registered nurses, then chose to attend accredited universities, followed by passing a midwifery board-certified examination. CNMs also must maintain their licensures every five years by completing a number of continuing education requirements.
