Dylan Whitlow

15 minutes with Dylan Whitlow

How old are you, Dylan?
14.

I guess that means you are going to be a freshman next year at BHS. What year will you graduate?
2016.

What are your favorite subjects in school?
(Long pause) Lunch. (Longer pause) In eighth grade I liked math.

Do you have any favorite styles of music you like?
I really can't stand Country.

Hey, you are my kind of guy. How many hours a day are you on the computer?
In the summer, probably four hours.

What web site do you spend most of your time on?
Watching movies on Net flick. Yesterday I watched "Thor."

What's your favorite book series?
Percy Jackson and The Olympians. There are five books in the series. I've read them all three times.

What are you doing this summer?
I'm going on a one-week mission trip to Cincinnati with the youth group at Lima Community Church, where I attend.

What else are you doing, or did you already do this summer?
I participated in swing choir camp. I've already been to Cedar Point twice. I'm also mowing lawns this summer.

What's your favorite ride at Cedar Point?
Millennium Force. I rode it three times recently. It's a long ride. It's scary going up and fun going down.

Could you identify one all-time favorite movie?
I supposed it would be "The Blind Side."

How about your favorite order at McDonald's?
That would be a large fries and large drink.

How about favorite pizza?
Luke's ranch with bacon.

Tell me about what went wrong with your eighth grade science project.
Well, I was going to see which works best to catch fish: live bait or artificial bait. However, several things went wrong. I started fishing and it got really cold so I couldn't test it very well. So, I had an option of taking an exam and creating a musical instrument. I wanted working on a musical instrument and by then it became really warm, but it was too late to continue with the science project. I made a xylophone from wood and steel.

How many times a day do you text your friends?
It depends upon the day. Some days it's over 100 times.

How many friends?
(Laughing) Two. Then other days I might only text 10 times.

To how many friends?
(Laughing). Ten.

You have any favorite sports teams?
No, I could care less.

Are you looking forward to going to high school in the fall?
Yes. It helped that I attended show choir camp. Now I know more people.
