One of the former Steinman Lumber Company buildings is being devoured by progress this week. The building in question was at one time used to construct window frames in the late 1930s. The building faced Railroad Street near Cherry.
The library is closed on July 3 and 4 in observance of Independence Day.
Bluffton Public Library’s Summer Program, “Imagine Your Story,” continues through July and ends Aug. 15.
During this time, the digital Summer Reading Challenge continues on the library’s Beanstack webpage (with paper forms available for those unable to access the digital version), and the library continues to offer events and services online to provide support, education, and entertainment. The family and funeral home requests face coverings be worn while attending visitation and service.
Alex Martin Sweigart, 18, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. due to an auto accident.
He was born July 9, 2001, in Bluffton to Robert M. Sweigart and Robin (Work) Tomasi. His father and step-mother, Anne Sweigart, survive in Dola and his mother and step-father, Donald Tomasi, survive in Ada.
