Bluffton High School celebrates its 66th annual homecoming this weekend. The king and queen will be announced on the football field in a pre-game ceremony.

Seniors
Queen candidates
Julie Althaus, daughter of Randy and Jan Althaus, 10875 N. Napoleon Road, Bluffton. She is member of the cross country team, track team, National Honor Society and Renaissance Committee. Outside of school she is a member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church youth group, the Beaverdam Bunch 4-H Club and the Allen County Junior Fair board. She plans to pursue exercise science following high school.
Anna Crisp is the daughter of Laura and Brad Jones of 211 Swiss Circle, and Mike Crisp. She is a member of the soccer team, basketball team, softball team, student council, student senate, National Honor Society, tutoring, post-secondary, math club, art club, high school helper and Ocean Focus. Outside of school she is a lifeguard at the Bluffton pool, member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she is a lector, Eucharist minister and member of the youth group, St. John small group and Campus Life. She was a sophomore homecoming attendant. She hopes to attend Ohio State University in pre-med with hopes of becoming an optometrist.
Rachel Yoder is the daughter of Mark and Julie Yoder, 8180 Rockport Road. She is a member of band, marching band field commander, jazz band, pep band, choir, show coir, District 3 honors choir, chamber choir, musicals, soccer, math club, math team, Spanish club, SADD yearbook committee, fourth year class president, third year student senate, National Honor Society, post-secondary and NWC sportsmanship member. Outside school she plays indoor soccer, is a member of Campus Life, Campus Life Leadership team, attends St. John Mennonite Church where she participates in worship teams, small groups and the Main Event worship team. She hopes to attend either Taylor University or Cedarville University and major in graphic design.
King candidates
Nathan Bunch is the son of James and Patricia Bunch, 419 Ethan Circle. He is a member of Latin club, Swifties and the soccer team. Outside school he is a member of the English Lutheran youth group, plays BFR indoor soccer and works at McDonald’s Restaurant. He hopes to attend either Ohio State University or Ohio Northern University and pursue a degree in engineering.
Matthew Deter is son of Bill and Joan Deter, 116 S. Lawn Ave. He is a member of the tennis team, football team and is a Swifty. Outside school he participates in Main Event, small groups and indoor soccer. He was a member of the homecoming court as a freshman. He hopes to pursue a career in business.
Landon Sturgill is the son of Brett Eikenbary and Lori Mcguire, 127 Riley St. He is a member of the football team and hopes to pursue wildlife management in college.
