FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH HOSTS COFFEE HOUSE-STYLE PERFORMANCE
FEATURING CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ARTIST, NIC STEVENS

Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter, Nic Stevens, will present a Coffee House-style performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, located at 2330 S. Main St. in Findlay.

The concert, part of the 33rd Season of the First Presbyterian Church Artist Series, is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be received.

Stevens conjures an indie rock sound grounded in confessional lyrics and a passionate vision of life as a spiritual journey. Blending a bold sound that recalls Switchfoot, a humming reminiscent of Lifehouse, and vocals suggestive of The Fray, Stevens has created a music all his own.

As said on You Sing, I Write, “Stevens’ indie rock sound blends uniquely with his soaring vocals…Within each song Stevens weaves stories of characters in a constant search while they question the meaning of life.”  Stevens released in 2010 his debut album Willow Run, the first of four recordings in a four year process.  The second release, To Keep Love Alive was released in November 2011.

Encouraged by the reception of his first two albums, Stevens has continued to entertain audiences at concert venues, youth events, coffee houses, and churches while building excitement for his third anticipated recording project.

Stevens’ most recent involvements have been performances at the Minneapolis Epic Event Center, Bethel College, the classic Loring Theater, and as a finalist in the nationally recognized 3 Degrees Music Tournament.  Recently he has shared the stage with up and coming artists such as Cedar Avenue, Dustin Hatzenbuhler, Alex Masters, and Bensonwells.

Beyond his music, Stevens is a husband, father of two, youth pastor and worship leader.
