Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker premieres tonight at Shannon Theatre

Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker, the saga comes to an end, opens Thursday, Dec. 19, with two showings at the Shannon Theatre, Bluffton.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and both shows are 3D. Show times are 7 and 9:30 p.m.

Premiere shows on Thursday are at 7:00 & 9:30PM, and both shows are in 3D.

Marcia Lodemeier was a former resident of Bluffton

Former Bluffton resident, Marcia Ann Lodermeier, 70, of Sunbury, Ohio, died on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at the OSU Medical Center.

She was a retired physical therapy assistant having worked at both Lima Memorial and St. Rita’s Hospitals in Lima.

Elaine and Diane – a chamber tradition

It's becoming a chamber December traditiion. Elaine Wehri and her sister, Diane (right), put persons attending last Friday's chamber breakfast in the Christmas spirit. They performed Christmas music during the breakfast portion of the meeting. They also performed at last year's December breakfast.

FROM ADA ICON  - (This photo story is also on Bluffton Icon. ) Don't be surpised if you find polar bears on Christmas trees on the ONU campus. It's a local phenomenon, as all Ohio communities carry on their own holiday tree ornament traditions.

For example, in neighoring Bluffton it is not surprising to find a beaver on a tree, as is evident in the next photo in this series. (This story is also posted on Ada Icon.)

The agreement encourages transfer of students between the two institutions; designed to to help meet the need for nurses in northwest Ohio

Rhodes State College and Bluffton University today announced a partnership involving the nursing programs of the two schools, designed to to help meet the need for nurses in northwest Ohio.

The agreement between Bluffton and Rhodes  facilitates the transfer of students between the two institutions.
