Cary Grant returns at the public library at 1 p.m. Thursday
Cary Grant returns to the Bluffton Public Library on Thursday, April 4.
His return is at 1 p.m. in the showing of the classic film “My Favorite Wife.” It’s the second of a three-part Carey Grant classic film festival sponsored by the library. The final movie in the series is May 2 with “Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House.”
Thursday’s movie, produced in 1940 stars Irene Dunne as a woman who returns to her husband and children after being shipwrecked on a tropical island for several years, and Cary Grant as her husband.
The story is an adaptation of Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "Enoch Arden," in tribute, the main characters' last name is Arden.
