Lots going on at the pool, including "Christmas in July" on Thursday night
With one-half of the swimming season behind us Bluffton council will act on a recommendation to sell season passes at a 50 percent reduction, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.
Council will meet on Monday to consider the action. Should the recommendation pass half-price tickets will go on sale July 23. Council offers these half-price passes at the mid-point of each swim season.
Two additional events of interest to swimmers are planned this summer. On Thursday, July 25, the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool will host a "Christmas in July day." The pool will be decked out in Christmas decorations, Christmas music will be played and other Christmas holiday events are planned.
On Sunday, Aug. 4, the pool will hold its inaugural "Season Pass Appreciation Swim Night." Specific details for the event are still in the planning stages. Watch the Icon for details.
