Rally Point Youth Center, N. Main St., Lima, will host its 5th annual River Ride fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 10, according to Jared Diller.
This years ride will be out of Ottawa Metro Park, Lima, and will take riders along the Ottawa River. There are 20-mile ride for families, 50-mile rides for weekend riders, and 62.5-Metric Century for serious riders seeking to get their best time yet. Last year 200 participants took part to support the youth center.
Start times vary: 7-9 a.m. for 100 and 50 mile riders; 9-11 a.m. for 20 mile riders
Rally Point's mission is to provide teens with a safe, positive, and drug-free, environment. Through the leadership of Christian adults, Rally Point gives teenagers guidance for their mind, body, and soul using biblical principles.
The youth center also seeks to help all teenagers in the Lima community who have little positive guidance, poor self-esteem and no ambitions. The youth center is open to middle and high school students between the grades 6 through 12 (ages 12-until their 19th birthday).
