Meet a therapy dog at the library Saturday morning
Bluffton Public Library is going to the dogs this month.
During the first week of August, the staff offered a variety of family activities during the “dog days of summer” at Bluffton Public Library.
On Saturday, Aug.10, at 10:30 a.m., Tango, a certified therapy dog, and her owner, Angela Schimmel, will make a guest appearance in the children’s area. All ages are welcome to meet Tango and learn more about therapy dogs. Youngsters may take turns reading some of her favorite stories to her.
Schimmel is a member of Therapy Dogs International (TDI) and has been visiting schools and libraries with therapy dogs for several years. TDI is a volunteer organization dedicated to regulating, testing and registering therapy dogs and their handlers.
Saturday's event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Please call 419-358-5016 or visit the library at 145 S. Main Street in Bluffton for more information.
