Morning Star cider press opens Wednesday; Suter corn maze opens Saturday
It is officially fall in Bluffton.
The Morning Star cider press will open on Wednesday, Sept. 17. The cider press is one of the oldest-continually operating businesses in the Bluffton-Pandora community.
Then on Saturday, Sept. 20, the Suter Produce corn maze, at the cider press, will open and attempt to get people lost in a field of corn. The maze is an annual Suter Produce tradition since 1999.

The cider press and corn maze are located at 8250 Road R, Pandora.
Cider Press
The cider press is open from Wednesday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Oct. 31. Hours are Monday through Friday, 1-6 p.m., Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 8 p.m.
Persons may bring their own apples to press on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 to 8:30 a.m.
“You get about three gallons of cider per bushel of apples,” said Jerry Suter. “Don’t cut the apples.”
But, you don’t need your own apples to purchase cider. It’s available for sale at $5.95 per gallon and $3.50 per half gallon.
Corn Maze
This year’s corn maze is titled “The Greatest Show in Corn II.” The maze is open from Saturday, Sept. 20, through Sunday, Oct. 26.
Maze prices are: adults $5, students (k-college) $4. Group prices are available for groups of 15 or more.
Hayride prices are $2.50 each and free for youth under age 3.
“The maze is not haunted, so its’ great fun for children and adults,” said Suter.
Maze hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 8 p.m. The last admission of the day is at 7 p.m.
Hayrides are offered Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 6 p.m.
“Hayrides to the pumpkin patch are a great way to pick your own perfect pumpkin,” said Suter.
