Sculpture exhibit opens Feb. 2 at Sauder Visual Arts
“At the Mercy of the Muse,” an exhibition of sculptures by Fremont, Ohio, native Dan Chudzinski, will open Monday, Feb. 2, in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of Bluffton University’s Sauder Visual Arts Center.
Chudzinski holds a master of fine arts degree in sculpture from Bowling Green State University and teaches art at Terra State Community College in Fremont. Of his sculpture, he says: “Each piece offers a glimpse of an elaborate narrative. I strive to create characters so convincing in their realism, so persuasive in their presence and personality, that the viewer believes, if only for a second, that they are real. Every work of art tells a story. If done well, the stories remain with the viewer long after they walk away.”
Gallery hours for the exhibition are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through March 1. Admission is free. An artist reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8.
