Natural Healing Massage and Reiki Center now in Tommy Tire Plaza
Dyanne Gregg had always worked in the medical field in some capacity and thought, “there had to be a better way to relieve pain, than handing out a pill.”
Then she discovered massage therapy. Dyanne obtained a massage therapy license in 2009, affirming it offers persons a “transition…the ability to transform body aches and pain to mobility.”
“Massage therapy is not a fix. Rather a way to retrain your body,” she said.
Initially, she offered massage in her Bluffton home, building a client base from Bluffton, Ada, Arlington, Findlay, Pandora, Lima and other surrounding communities.
Due to an ever-expanding client list, in late summer she moved the practice, enabling her to offer expanded hours, add staff and services for clients, and to offer more privacy and comfort for clients.
Natural Healing Massage and Reiki Center, operated by Dyanne, LMT and Reiki Master Teacher, is now open in Suite D, Tommy Tire Plaza, 142 E. Jefferson St., Bluffton.
Dyanne’s range of services is expansive. She is certified in massage including specific areas of oncology, sports, prenatal, hot stones, cranial sacral and kinesiology taping. She will be Certified as a Massage Doula by the end of December 2016.
When The Women’s Center at Bluffton Hospital opens this winter, Dyanne will offer prenatal massage as well as other modalities.
In addition, Dyanne is a Massage Instructor. She teaches at The Dayton School of Medical Massage in Lima.
As a Reiki Master, Dyanne offers a two-day class each month in addition to individual Reiki sessions with clients.
“Reiki is a healing, energy channeling technique offered to patients by touch to activate natural healing processes,” she said. The next two-day class is Jan. 14 and 15. It is limited to six persons.
The Natural Healing Massage and Reiki Center includes two additional licensed massage therapists and one yoga teacher.
The two additional LMTs are Sharon Typpi and Ashley Teman. In addition to traditional massage, both are certified in Swedish massage and deep tissue massage, which are beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension.
Angie Poe, certified Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT, offers yoga classes Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 p.m.
