It's a boy!
It’s a new year. Meet the first baby born at Bluffton Hospital in 2017.
Here’s Roman Matthew Boninsegna. He’s asleep in the arms of his mother, Melania. Behind mom is Dave, his father. The Boninsegna family is from Ottawa.
Roman was born at 8:48 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, with Dr. Desrene Brown, M.D., the attending physician. Roman entered the world at 7 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 19 inches.
He is joined at home by a sister, Carmella, 1, and a brother, Brantley, 2.
Melania says that her baby’s middle name was chosen because it is her brother's name. Melania and Dave chose the name Roman because they liked it. When asked what Carmella and Brantley think of their new brother, Melania says that Carmella loves him and Brantley is “not interested.”
Although neither Dave nor Melania are Ottawa natives, they’ve lived there for three years. Dave’s father also lives there. Dave is employed at DHL Warehouse, Leipsic.
The final baby born in Bluffton in 2016 was born Dec. 31. He is Rylee Kenzith Michael, son of Cody and Taylor Michael of Findlay.
