June senior center dinner meeting features "The Bluffton We Never Knew"
Several programs of interest to members are on the June calendar of the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, 132 N. Main St., according to Tonya Meyers, director.
• June 6 – Miranda Ridenow of Area Agency on Aging 3, will talk about retired senior volunteer programs. Her presentation is at 2:30 p.m.
June 8 – The first movie of the summer is “Florence Foster Jenkins, at 1 p.m.
• June 11 – Fred Steiner will show photographs and talk about his book “The Bluffton We Never Knew. The program is part of the association’s June dinner meeting at 6 p.m.
Midge Moser, who turns 90 in June, will receive her lifetime association membership during the meeting. Bev Painter is the hostess and Jim Bemiller is the MC. The meal is catered by Luke’s Bar and Grill. Tickets are $8.50 and must be reserved by June 6.
June 18-22 – A craft supplies sale takes place at the Center.
• June 27 – An Area Agency on Aging 3 program centers on elder abuse. The presentation is at 2:30 p.m.
