Registrations remain on for BFR's July classes
Registration remains open for several Bluffton Family Recreation classes in July, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

T-Ball
T-ball is open to youth ages 5, 6 and 7. Games are played at 6 and 7 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Bluffton village park from July 10 to Aug. 9. The cost per player is $30 for BFR members and $60 for non-members. The registration includes a t-shirt.
Strider Bike Camp
Bluffton Family Recreation will hold a Strider Bike Camp at 6 p.m. each evening from Monday to Friday, July 23-27. Registration is now underway for youth ages 2 to 5. Registration closes July 8.
“The camp develops confidence in youth bike riders in five short lessons,” said Tinch. “The camp jump starts children’s growth and development and is an excellent way to keep kids active and health.”
Adult coed softball
Bluffton Family Recreation is registering adult coed softball teams for the summer. This league plays games at the village park diamond on Monday and Wednesday evenings with games starting at 6 p.m. League play is from July 9 to Aug. 8. Registration is $300 per team.
Camp Laffalot
Bluffton Family Recreation offers Camp Laffalot, a camp returning for its second year. Camp Laffalot will be held at BFR from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday, July 9 to 13. Register on line at www.laffalotcamps.com.
“Laffalot Summer Camp offers kids 6-12 years old a week of fun activities that will leave them smiling, exhausted and ecstatic,” said Tinch.
Led by counselors, youth will spend the day playing high-energy sports and games that help them develop teamwork, build whole body coordination, improve interpersonal skills, learn sportsmanship and enjoy friendly competition.
For the past 25 years, Laffalot offers 50 different camps serving over 1,500 campers each year from northern Kentucky north through greater to Toledo.
Play the Day Away
Tuesday-Wednesday, July 17-18
1 to 3:30 p.m.
Ages 7 to 12
Campers will play games such as hopscotch, 4 square and tag. Campers will learn the importance of teamwork, develop their own game and play that game. $15 for BFR member; $30 for non-members.
Adventure Camp
Thursdays, July 26, Aug. 2, Aug. 9
10 to 11:30 a.m.
Ages 3 ½ to 6
Adventure camp has activities, arts and crafts and educational takeaways.
• July 26 theme – Disney adventure
• Aug. 2 theme – Star Wars in training
• Aug. 9 – Fairy tales
$8 for BFR member per day; $16 for non-members per day.
Summer Camp
Bluffton Family Recreation’s summer camps continue weekly. Each week has a different theme. Campers learn in an environment that emphasizes teamwork, positive attitudes and good sportsmanship.
• Open to 5- to 12-year-olds
• Held Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Bring snacks, lunch and drinks
• Only 24 spots are available per week
