Paul S. Schutz was a life-long Pandora resident
Paul S. Schutz, 96, died Oct. 31, 2018, at Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. Paul was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Pandora to the late Hiram and Lucille (Weida) Schutz. On March 27, 1948, he married Dorothy Knepper Schutz who preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 2010.
Paul graduated from Pandora High School and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a farmer and had worked at McIntosh Industries in Bluffton. Paul was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church and the Pandora American Legion.
Survivors include a daughter, Paulette (Bud) Smith of Pandora; a granddaughter, Cricket (Gabe) Dobmeyer of Coldwater, Ohio; five step-grandchildren, Dave Smith, Gretchen Kiefer, Craig Smith, Shelley Smith, Matt Smith and two great-grandchildren, Zac and Knox Dobmeyer.
Paul was preceded in death by four brothers, David Schutz, Grant Schutz, Milton Schutz and Lawrence Schutz.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, at Pandora United Methodist Church. Pastor Duane Kemerley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. at the church.
