Volunteer opportunities at MHCO
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio has several volunteer opportunities in Bluffton and Pandora this summer, according to Jessica Strahm, volunteer coordinator.

Hilty Home
Old Car Show
Thursday July 25 starting 5:30 p.m.
*Need 3 servers who are willing to help serve food to the residents and family members.
*Need a photographer to take pictures at the event
Woodworking
*Need a volunteer to sit with an elder once a week while he enjoys his favorite craft - whittling.
Hilty Home Daycare Race track
*Looking for a volunteer or group that would be willing to install a cement race track for the kids
Passing Water
*Help elders and staff by delivering cold water between 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. daily.
Maple Crest
Landscaping
*Help split and re-plant beautiful Iris bulbs and ornamental grass. Starts are available to volunteers. Other opportunities around the grounds are available.
Root Beer floats
July 4th 2 p.m.
*2 volunteers are needed to help serve this delicious treat on the front porch.
Art Show Set Up
July 10 3 to 5:30 p.m.
*Do you have an eye for decorating? 3 volunteers are needed to assist elders as they set their table displays for the Art Show on July 11.
Movie and Popcorn
Monday July 22, 2 p.m.
*2 servers need to help serve popcorn and refreshments.
Camp Fire and Music
Monday July 29, 7 p.m.
*2 servers to assist elders create S’mores and sing- a-long at the campfire
Visits at Maple Crest
* Come make some new friends by visiting with the elders at Maple Crest for 1 hour a week.
Enjoy leading a Bible Study from 4-5 P.M. on Thursdays
Lead the study of the Bible with 10-12 enthusiastic elders.

Monday Night Game leader from 7 to 8 p.m.
*Come and play your favorite family game. Uno, Skip Bo and more! Join 8-10 elders that enjoy a fun time.

Landscaping
*Assist with keeping the grounds looking lovely for our elders. Shrub trimming, pruning, weeding and more
Nail Spa
July 11, 9:30 a.m.
*Need a volunteer to help paint fingernails.
Concert on the Lawn (Community Event)
Sunday August 18
*Need volunteers to help serve ice cream and popcorn
Snack Cart
*Enjoy passing out evening snacks to elders starting at 7 p.m.

Worship Leader
*Come and lead the worship service
