The art is elementary at Community Market

On your next trip for a late-night gallon of milk at Community Market, take time to check out Bluffton elementary students' holiday art work on display. Nicole Anderson is the elmentary art teacher.

You will find:
First graders learned to draw cardinals. They made a winter scene for the bird by stamping paint with cardboard.
Second graders studied Vincent Van Gogh. His work inspired student versions of snowy, starry landscapes.
Third graders designed textured trees. They invented texture by drawing patterns and used real texture in their artwork.
Fourth graders drew and painted symmetrical nutcrackers. The tradition of the nutcracker began in Germany and is a symbol of protection and good luck.
Fifth graders designed "stained glass" rose windows. These windows are circular and inspired by the Gothic architectural style.
