Lynn Wolford was retired from Ohio Department of Transportation
A. Lynn Wolford, 84, died July 22, 2020, at the Hilty Memorial Home in Pandora. Lynn was born August 5, 1935, in Arlington to the late Oscar and Mary (Wood) Wolford. On April 8, 1983 he married Kathy Knitz Wolford who survives.
Lynn graduated from Mt. Blanchard High School. He retired in May of 1997 from the Ohio Department of Transportation where he was a County Manager 2. He was an auxiliary officer for the Findlay Police Department and special deputy for the Hancock County Sheriff's Office. Lynn was a member of the Pandora United Methodist Church and the Findlay Masonic Lodge #227. He enjoyed camping, fishing, tractors, antiques and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Wolford of Pandora; a son, Arthur (Mary Jane) Wolford of Westerville; a daughter, Mary (Ed) Decker of Mt. Blanchard; three grandchildren, Carey Wolford, Jenny Wolford, Samantha Elwood; a great grandson, Caiden Wolford; and two brothers, John (Carol) Wolford and Ralph (Diane) Wolford both of Findlay.
Lynn was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl Wolford, Harley Wolford, Richard Wolford, James Wolford; and three sisters, Gail Hock, Nellie Wolfe and Jayne Omerod.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at Pandora United Methodist Church. Revs. Ruth Carter-Crist and Harry Scott officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora, following the service.
Visitation will be Friday 6 - 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service both at the church. Due to the COVID-19 mandates, face coverings will be required to attend.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church.
