Briana Schmidt would have entered 7th grade this fall
Briana Renae Schmidt, 12, died July 31, 2020, at Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital in Toledo. Briana was born on Nov. 10, 2007. in Bluffton.
Briana attended Bluffton Elementary School where she would have been a seventh grader. She attended Tri-County Family Assembly of God and Pleasant View United Methodist Church both of Bluffton. Briana enjoyed playing soccer, practicing gymnastics and art. She was described as a very energetic and out-going child and a friend who will be remembered for her smile.
Survivors include her father, Andrew Schmidt of Bluffton; two brothers, Damian Snyder of Delphos, Logan Schmidt of Bluffton; paternal grandparents, Fred and Jill Schmidt of Bluffton; an aunt, Debi (Matt Thines) Schmidt of Rawson and her cousins, Elle, Bryn and Dresden Thines.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Monday from 5 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Russell J. Ebeid Children's Hospital.
