BLUFFTON - The host Bluffton baseball team lost 13-4 to Upper Scioto Valley on a cold Wednesday evening.

The Pirates fell to 0-5 with the non-league defeat. The Rams improved to 2-2 with the victory.

USV jumped in front with four runs in the top of the first inning. Bluffton tied it 4-4 with a four-run rally in the bottom of the third frame.

But the Rams responded with six runs in the top of the fourth, then added three more scores in the fifth to put the game out of reach.

Pirate senior Adam Fredritz paced the Bluffton offense with a two-run single in the third inning.

Connor Sanders collected a triple, double and single and drove in three runs to lead the 11-hit USV attack. Kadyn Hurley knocked in three runs with a double and single, while Jackson Rohrs added a single and double for the Rams.
