Elementary book fair is virtual
Bluffton elementary school’s spring book fair is virtual this month. The fair begins on Monday, April 26, and continues through Sunday, May 9.
Viewers may search for Bluffton Schools and it will take you to the Fair Homepage (www.scholastic.com/fair). The homepage includes:
• a welcome message
• ewallet information (what it is and how to sign up)
• dates of the fair with a shopping link
(shopping will not begin until April 26 but you may still browse the homepage)
• and a virtual tour of the Book Fair flyer.
Click here to shop the fair starting April 26. All proceeds provide books and materials for the elementary library.
SMART Week
S.M.A.R.T. WEEK: Special academic emphasis, “S.M.A.R.T.” week, is the week of May 17.
The acronym letters stand for:
S- Social Studies
M-Math
A- Arts and Fitness
R- Reading
T- Technology and Science
Students will participate in special activities each day.
• On “Social Studies Day” students in each grade will work on a special project.
•“Math Day” will hold various math competitions at each grade level.
• “Arts and Fitness Day” will feature “Field Day” where students will participate in games at Harmon Field and enjoy grilled hot dogs for their picnic lunch.
• On “Reading Day” a reading marathon is scheduled and students will be working on reading activities most of the day.
• On “Technology & Science Day” students will do research and perform scientific experiments in their classrooms.

Icon viewers may see some of the artwork students have created by liking the elementary Facebook page. Search @BlufftonElementaryArt to find Mrs. Anderson's Bluffton Elementary Art Room to keep up with what students are doing this year in the art studio.
