Softball: It's the Pirates 14 – Ottawa-Glandorf 0

OTTAWA - The visiting Bluffton softball team whipped Ottawa-Glandorf 14-0 Wednesday evening in a non-league mismatch.
The Lady Pirates improved to 5-12 with the lopsided victory.
The Pirate girls broke up a scoreless game with five runs in the top of the third frame.
Bluffton then put the Titans away with a nine-run outburst in the fifth inning.
Pirate hurler Hannah Davis pitched a two-hitter to earn her second win, and she also plated two runs with a single.
Bluffton's Grace Myers batted 3-3 with two runs batted in to pace the Pirate offense. Riley Busch contributed a three-run double.
Dyllan Worcester hit a double, singled and had one RBI. Kennedy Jordan collected two hits and one RBI. Sophie Bricker singled in one run.
The Pirate girls out-hit the Titans, 10-2. O-G committed three errors, while Bluffton made just one miscue.
Losing sophomore pitcher Alivia Balbaugh and junior outfielder Kaylee Unverferth each singled to account for the two Titan hits.

Bluffton visits former conference rival Lima Central Catholic Thursday, May 6.
The Pirates (2-5 NWC) will make up Monday's postponed league bout vs. backyard rival Allen East (11-8, 2-3 NWC) Friday, May 7.
BASEBALL: Pirates sunk by Commodores
BLUFFTON - The Bluffton baseball team lost to visiting Perry 11-3 Wednesday evening.
The loss dropped the Pirate record to 0-19 this spring. The Commodores improved to 9-8 with the victory.
Bluffton plays at non-league county foe LCC Thursday.
Monday's postponed league game at home vs. local rival Allen East (17-6, 3-2 NWC) is rescheduled for Friday, May 7.
Bluffton (0-6 NWC) also plays a makeup league game at Columbus Grove May 12.
